CPRE Norfolk aims to influence local authorities to increase the level of resources devoted to litter clearance, initiate media coverage on litter and flytipping, identify problem areas and clean them up, and support local parish based litter picking activities.
We have regular contact with district and city councils in Norfolk and have attended the Highways Management Liaison Group.
CPRE Norfolk organises regular litter picks in Norfolk and has carried out clean-up events in partnership with BTCV, the Marine Conservation Society, Friends of Lakenham Way, and other local action groups.
We have established a network of litter wardens across Norfolk, distributing funding and equipment to nominated individuals in local areas. Sets of gloves, pickers, jackets and bags are also available for groups to hire for one-off events, to collect from the CPRE office in Norwich or from a collection point in Holt.
Please contact 01603 761660 / info@cprenorfolk.org.uk for any further information.
