An excellent event. We had a total of 13 new volunteers who joined our existing 14: we worked in small groups for two hour shifts with a co-ordinator in charge and specific areas allocated to each group.
Hi-vis tabards were worn, H&S precautions were taken & our insurance covered all our clearers. We concentrated on clearing gutters & drains, detritus in the gutters, weeds by roadsides, walk lanes and our industrial park.
We worked a total of 58 hours and collected between us over 60 large bags of rubbish.
