" Wadhurst Environmental Team for A Cleaner Kept Local Environment "
In 2010 we are a small group of 4 now, 3 of us with ongoing health problems, who have all tackled vast amounts of rubbish, collecting up huge quantities over the last few years to keep our village clean & tidy as possible. We have filled over 3105 commercial sacks with rubbish, & collected up mountains of debris, sometimes we are backed up by our local Wealden District Council, ( not the local Wadhurst Parish Council, their too far up their own backsides to help or to notice rubbish, things may be changing in 2010, lets hope so ).
Despite the arrogant, ignorant, mindless members of our Community, our Society & visitors, all those passing through in their vehicles, who continue to litter our beautiful countryside with their rubbish, fast food containers, beer & other alcohol bottles & cans chucked from their cars, we mainly keep on top of this never ending mountain of rubbish, with the added debris of rubbish of car tyres, car parts, supermarket trolleys, tons of alcohol bottles & cans and general rubbish & litter & of coarse wall litter - Graffitti & drug packets & needles, and in 2010 the large amounts of human faeces, found in High Street areas, rural camps & hideouts, in rubbish and plastic boxes.
We speak our minds at WETACKLE, often campaining on other issues too. Getting more Bus Services & keeping those services we already have.
